2013.01.31 happy days

Some happy days ...not necessarily in chronological order!!!

Happy birthday Carol.....have you caught up yet?

Our first walk on Hope Town  beach this year....after Sandy.....still so breathtakingly beautiful!

A lot of sand was pushed up with bull dozers trying to replace what Sandy washed away

We observed some cement retaining walls being put up.

Our first  fat Curly tail lizzard  of the season

We took the Donny ferry to Marsh Harbor to attend the art show

We spent a lovely day with Glen and Louise and their Gator

David found this most interesting piece of driftwood...an anteater maybe? legs are a bit long!

Nature never ceases to amaze us...this tree growing support/additional roots on a long limb

Playing with the macerator....I make a better pretzel than David!!!

Dink bottom cleaning day for  David  and Mike

The Rage came into the harbor under full sail...

Maddison aka Brown Tips checked out Soli's bottom and zincs...

and then showed off his...or  does he know about my foot fetish?

2013 We had visitors...from near...

We were so pleased to have so many visitors from far and near this year...
from near..Green Turtle Cay

The very next morning Joe and Andy came to pick us up in a local golden coach (golf cart) and brought us to Romance II which was moored in White sound at Sea Spray marina....we were treated to a sumptuous italian lunch ...all home (boat) made by Joanne, Katharine (aka Kathy) and Barb ...after which the ladies retired to the flying bridge where we had a great chat (not about our husbands, who are all marvellous) and the guys stayed below and had a male bonding session...

After more food and drinks, any visit to Romance II would not be complete without a WII session...I was MADE to bowl against my will (as you all know I am very shy) and got even by getting a turkey (3 strikes in a row) I apparently am  consistent straight shooter ...who knew!!!! we were then driven back to Soli...thanks guys for a fantastic day...hope to see again soon.

Harvey came to visit and brought his great nephew Daniel.... I just fell in love with him....most wonderful young man...maybe a little too old for grand-daughter Katy. We had a lovely visit and went up the light house with them.

....and visitors from far...

In all the years we have been coming down here, we have never had visitors from home..so it was so wonderful this year to have the all too short visit of Tony and Henri (3days..really what were they thinking!!!)
After being picked up in Marsh Harbor ...they were wisked away to Hope Town in grand style on board Heart Beat.

2013.01.20 Mermaid Reef!!!

On some very fine day, Billy and Carol took us on an excellent adventure to Mermaid Reef and Matt Lowe Cay....Carol can be thanked for all the underwater shots of some of us feeding the fish and some of us pretending to do so and being rewarded by little nibbles on our fingers...

David tying up to a buoy at Mermaid Reef

Amazingly we did nor scare the fish

Then we were off to explore Matt Lowe Cay..

Thanks guys what a great day we had!!!!
